FCE 寫作 Part 2

Task format

CommunicativeA Trip I Will Never Forget
OrganisationLast summer, my family took a trip to a small fishing village on the east coast, and it completely changed the way I think about travelling.
CommunicativeWe usually visit big cities, so I honestly expected to be bored within a day.
OrganisationInstead, something unexpected happened.
ContentOn our second morning, a local fisherman offered to take us out on his boat before sunrise.
LanguageI remember feeling nervous, but the moment the sun came up over the water, everything felt magical.
the moment...
ContentHe showed us how to pull in the nets, and we ate breakfast on the boat while he told stories about the sea.
CommunicativeThat single morning taught me more than any guidebook could.
直接回應通知裡『why do you still think about it』的提問,讓讀者清楚知道這趟旅行的意義。
LanguageI realised that the best travel memories rarely come from famous landmarks; they come from small, unplanned moments with people who are generous enough to share their world with you.
CommunicativeSo, next time you're planning a trip, my advice is simple: put down the map occasionally and say yes to the unexpected.
OrganisationYou might be surprised what you discover.

CommunicativeHi Jamie,
CommunicativeThanks for your email — congratulations on the new job!
LanguageA bookshop sounds like the perfect place for you, especially since you're always reading something.
ContentTo answer your question, yes, I have thought about getting a part-time job, but I haven't tried it yet.
ContentI think the good points would be learning to manage my own money and gaining some real work experience before I finish school.
LanguageIt would also be nice to feel a bit more independent instead of asking my parents for everything.
OrganisationThat said, I do worry about the bad points too.
用 That said 標出從『優點』轉向『缺點』,呼應 Jamie 信裡『good AND bad points』的雙重提問,是「組織」的段落銜接。
ContentMy exams are getting more serious this year, so I'm not sure I could handle a job and still have enough time and energy to study properly.
LanguageA few of my classmates work at weekends and say they're always exhausted on Monday mornings!
CommunicativeMaybe I'll wait until after my exams and then look for something small, like your job.
OrganisationHave you found it hard to balance work with school so far?
CommunicativeWrite back soon! Alex

CommunicativeFitStep: A Simple Way to Get Moving
CommunicativeIf you're looking for an easy way to get more active without joining an expensive gym, FitStep might be exactly what you need.
ContentI downloaded it three months ago, and it has genuinely changed my daily habits.
CommunicativeThe app is refreshingly simple to use.
ContentIt counts your steps automatically, sets small daily goals, and lets you join short challenges against friends, such as who can walk the most in a week.
具體描述 app 的功能,回應通知裡『tell us what it does』的要求。
LanguageThere's no confusing menu or endless settings — you open it, and it just works.
OrganisationWhat I like most is that FitStep doesn't feel like exercise; it feels like a game.
LanguageCompeting against my classmates made me want to walk to school instead of getting a ride, and I barely noticed I was building a habit.
ContentIf I'm being completely honest, the app does have one weakness: the map feature sometimes freezes on older phones.
OrganisationIt's a minor annoyance rather than a serious problem, though.
ContentOverall, I would strongly recommend FitStep to any student who wants to feel healthier without a huge commitment.
用 Overall...recommend 給出明確的推薦,回應通知裡『if you'd recommend it』的要求——評論一定要有清楚的推薦或不推薦。
CommunicativeIt's free, friendly and genuinely motivating.

ContentAs soon as Mia looked at her phone, she knew something was wrong.
ContentFifteen messages had appeared in the class group chat in the last ten minutes, and her name was mentioned in almost every one.
LanguageHer hands were shaking as she scrolled up to see what had happened.
LanguageSomebody had posted an old photo of her from a school trip, one she had never wanted anyone to see, and the comments underneath were cruel.
OrganisationMia's stomach tightened.
ContentShe had trusted her classmates, and now she felt completely exposed.
OrganisationShe was about to turn off her phone forever when a new message appeared from Leo, the boy who had posted the photo in the first place.
was about to... when...
Content"I'm really sorry, Mia. I didn't think about how it would make you feel. I've deleted it, and I already told everyone to stop."
LanguageMia stared at the screen, surprised.
OrganisationShe had expected silence, not an apology.
ContentSlowly, the unkind comments disappeared one by one, replaced by supportive messages instead.
OrganisationBy the time she went to bed, Mia realised that even in a group chat, people could still choose to be kind.
