官方題型說明 Task format

一篇約 230 字的長文，5 題三選一。官方考試中為第 15–19 題。考細節理解與主旨——選項常常「文中有寫但答非所問」，這正是解析要教的。

Joining the Swimming Team

My name is Amy and I am twelve years old. Last September, I joined my school's swimming team. I was nervous because I could only swim slowly, and some of the other students were very fast. On the first day, the coach, Mr. Lin, put me in the beginner group. We trained every Tuesday and Thursday morning, from 6:30 to 7:30, before school started. At first, I hated waking up so early, and the pool water always felt cold.

After two weeks, I wanted to stop. But my older sister, who was also on the team two years ago, told me to keep trying. She said swimming gets easier if you practice every week. So I didn't stop. Mr. Lin also helped me a lot, and slowly my swimming got faster.

In November, our team had a small race against another school. I didn't win, but I finished in third place in my group. I was so happy and excited! My parents came to watch, and they took a photo of me next to the pool.

Now I train three mornings a week, and I don't mind the early starts anymore. I have also made some new friends on the team. Next year, I want to try a longer race. Joining the team was hard at the beginning, but I am very glad I did it.
