埃森美語英文數字總整理
基數、序數與大數字唸法

英文數字的難點不在 one two three，而在三個系統性的地方：序數的變化規則（fifth、twelfth、twentieth 的拼字陷阱）、大數字的千進位系統（英文沒有「萬」——1 萬是 ten thousand，這是中文使用者永遠的換算坑）、以及年份、電話、金額各有各的唸法慣例。這一頁把全部規則整理成表，最後列出台灣學生最常犯的四個錯。
基數與序數對照表

兩條省力規則：21–99 的複合數字用連字號（twenty-one、ninety-nine），序數只變最後一個字（twenty-first，不是 twentieth-first）；13–19 的 -teen 與 30–90 的 -ty 靠重音區分——thirTEEN 重音在後、THIRty 重音在前，聽力測驗年年考這個。
千進位系統：英文沒有「萬」

中文以「萬」為單位（四位一節），英文以「千」為單位（三位一節）——逗號就是唸法的提示：每個逗號換一個單位。1,234,567 = one million, two hundred thirty-four thousand, five hundred sixty-seven。換算口訣：萬 = ten thousand、十萬 = hundred thousand、百萬 = million、億 = hundred million。跟著逗號唸，永遠不會亂。
年份、電話、金額、小數各有慣例
年份兩兩唸：1999 = nineteen ninety-nine；2026 = twenty twenty-six（2001–2009 常唸 two thousand one…）。電話號碼逐字唸：0928 = oh nine two eight——0 唸 oh 或 zero；重複數字英式常說 double seven，美式多半直接唸 seven seven。金額：NT$350 = three hundred fifty dollars；美金 $4.99 = four ninety-nine（口語常省 dollars 和 cents）。小數逐位唸：3.14 = three point one four（不是 point fourteen）。分數用序數：1/3 = one third、3/4 = three quarters（或 three fourths）、1/2 = one half。
台灣學生的四大經典錯
❶ three hundreds（×）→ three hundred（✓）：hundred／thousand／million 前面有數字時永遠單數。加 s 的是「數以百計」的模糊用法：hundreds of people。❷ 一萬唸成 one wan：英文沒有萬——ten thousand。❸ 3.14 唸 three point fourteen（×）：小數點後逐位唸，three point one four。❹ 序數拼字照抄基數：fiveth（×）→ fifth、nineth（×）→ ninth、twelveth（×）→ twelfth。這四個錯，段考與英檢的扣分榜常年霸榜。
英文數字常見問題
ten thousand——英文沒有「萬」這個單位，以千為單位三位一節：一萬＝十個千。十萬是 one hundred thousand，百萬才有自己的字 million，一億是 one hundred million。
前面有明確數字時永遠單數：three hundred、five thousand。加 s 的是模糊的「數以百計」：hundreds of students、thousands of books——這時前面不能有數字。
twenty twenty-six——年份習慣兩位兩位唸。1999 = nineteen ninety-nine；2001–2009 這段常唸 two thousand one 到 two thousand nine；2010 之後兩種唸法都有人用，兩兩唸更常見。
靠重音：thirTEEN 重音在後、THIRty 重音在前。聽不出來時母語者也會確認：one three or three zero? 練法是成對朗讀 13/30、14/40 到 19/90，把重音的手感建立起來。
五個高危：fifth（ve→f）、ninth（e 消失）、eighth（只加 h）、twelfth（ve→f）、twentieth（y→ieth）。加上 11th／12th／13th 一律用 th（不是 st/nd/rd），這六件事顧好，序數就穩了。
